# 3490  Geneva Takes Wayne in Finger Lakes Contest

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were five games played today and one was a close one. Winners today were Geneva, Bloomfield-Honeoye, Gananda, and Greece Storm.

Wayne at GenevaWAYNE-11 at GENEVA-15 -  This game was close with many lead changes up to the fourth quarter when Geneva outscored the Eagles 6-2 to give them the victory. Geneva (11-4) extended thjeir winning streak to seven as they saw 3g-5a from  Max Heieck, 3g-1a from Ryland Dunham and the same from Jack Dunham. Jeremy Askin won 22+/8- = 73% at the faceoff "X".  Alex Garrow gave the Eagles 3g-2a including his 100th career goal, while Tas Strickland added 4g-1a, PJ Ostrowski score 3g-1a, and Mason Michel had 1g-1a. Wayne will finish their regular season hosting Livonia-Avon on Wednesday. Geneva will finish their regular season with a trip to Haverling     [ BOX SCORE

Among the  players scoring for Gananda were Jacob Michaels (5g-1a), Brayden Dohse (1g-4a), Jase Smith (5g), and Mason Groh (2g-2a). Griffin Kiss scored his first Varsity goal in the game. DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played today and five were close ones. Pittsford was a 8-6 winner over Penfield. Marcus Whitman defeated Brockport by a score of 4-2. Newark was a 8-7 winner over Bloomfield-Honeoye in double overtime. Brighton defeated Thomas by a score of 9-7.  Haverling defeated Bishop Kearney by a score of 10-9 and gave Head Coach Ken DiDomineck his 150th win.

HFL at CCHFL-17 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-2 - Ten different players scored goals for HFL in this game as the Cougars (13-1) extended their winning streak to eight wins. Grady Goodberlet (7g-1a), Chase Perryman (1g-5a), and Quinn Kailbourne (2g-3a) were at the top of the tally-sheet. Drew Angelo won 16+/0- = 100% at the faceoff "X" and Freshman goalie Jason Bennett recorded 11s/2ga = 85% (48 mins). SCHROEDER-8 at SPENCERPORT-4 - Schroeder took off after a 3-3 halftime tie and scored five goals while holding the Rangers to one. At the top of the scoring sheet for Schroeder were  Anthony DeRosa (4g-2a) and Nate Schilling (2g-2a). DeRosa also won  7+/6- = 54% at the faceoff "X" and in the goal Casey Berns recorded 8s/4ga = 67% (48 mins). HFL at CCCANANDAIGUA-15 at GATES CHILI-1 - Eleven different players scored goals for Canandaigua (10-4) who extended their winning streak to five. Senior midfielder John Windover, Junior face off midfielder Mason DePew, Junior attackman Lucas Buck, and Junior attackman Gavin Ducar each scored their first Varsity goal and joining the leaders in the game which included Jack Tanoory (2g-2a) and Sean Olvany (3g-1a). Faceoff specialist Mason DePew won 5+/2- = 71%, and Rowyn Heagney won 6+/2- = 75%. In the goal for Canandaigua senior goalie Tyler DeRue had 1s/0ga = 100% (24 mins). Junior face off midfielder Michael Alley scored for the Spartans. The game was ended after three quarters when the number of players for Gates Chili became low.    [ BOX SCORE

GREECE STORM-2 at HILTON-13 - Hilton (8-6) extended their winning streak to five wins with seven players making the offensive book including Freshman attackman Gianluca Auriuso (4g-1a), Senior attackman Chase Wilson (3g), Junior midfielder Braydon Pike (1g-2a), and Senior attackman Kevin Bell (1g-1a). Facing off, Michael Mitrano won 9+/1- = 90%, and Drew O`Buck won 6+/3- = 67%. Sam Underhill scored four goals and John Camblin scored three goals for the Reds while Senior goalie Thomas Kirnie made 20s/7ga = 74% (56 mins). DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were five games played today and most were mismatches. Penn Yan led by two goals after three quarters but saw their lead lost when Carthage scored four goals including the game winner with 11 second left in regulation.

Carthage at Penn YanGANANDA-11 at GATES CHILI-4 - The Spartans scored one goal in each quarter, but the Blue Pathers led 8-2 at the half. Leading the scoring for Gananda (4-8) were Brayden Dohse (4g-1a), Jase Smith (2g-3a), Mason Groh (1g-1a) and Jacob Michaels (2g-1a) who reached his 50th career assist in the game. Alex Galka won 12+/5- = 71% at the faceoff "X".  There was no report from Gates Chili at post-time. On Tuesday the Spartans will be at Canandaigua while Gananda plays at Geneva.    [ BOX SCORE]     

CARTHAGE-9 at PENN YAN-8 - Although Carthage scored the first two goals in the game, Penn Yan returned with two goals in less than ten seconds to tie the game. Each team scored another goal leading to s 3-3 tie after one quarter. The Mustangs scored early in the second quarter and then added a second goal to take a two-goal lead before the Comets added another. Carthage at Penn YanThe half ended with Penn Yan up 5-4. At the top of the third the Mustangs increased their lead  for a short time, until Carthage came back with one. Penn Yan ended the third with another goal and led 7-5. Hilton and Thomas played a close game until the last quarter when the Cadets took off. CA was a 10-6 winner over Penfield and Marcus Whitman was a 10-7 winner over Gananda.

The Blue Panthers held off a fourth quarter surge by the Pride and held on for the 13-12 win. Aquinas, likewise held off a last quarter surge by the Lakers, winning 12-10 and locking up the GRALL title. Thomas won the battle at Webster and Penn Yan had a shutout against Clarence.

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - It took overtime after seven ties for the Rangers to beat McQuaid Jesuit 10-9. Brighton scored first and never looked back as they beat Aquinas 11-8. An unmatched goal in the fourth quarter was one goal less than the Saints needed as Livonia-Avon won 8-7. Penn Yan has an overtime loss against a strong Lake Shore team from Buffalo and Schroeder held the Hawks scoreless in three quarters for their 5-3 win in Corning.
